Discover how being active and eating healthy can be fun at the KIDFIT Wellness Fair on Saturday, April 30 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm in the PS/IS 187 school yard. KIDFIT is a wellness fair with the goal of raising awareness about childhood obesity prevention.

Join a game of basketball, soccer or hockey, try a dance class (line/folk/hip hop/belly), Yoga, Pilates, T'ai Chi, Fencing, or Capoeira. Check out the boot camp, hula hoops, park bench gym and the Double Dutch Divas at 1 pm! Get info about meal planning, watch cooking demos and meet local nutritionists and practitioners. Healthy concessions will be sold and admission is free!

KIDFIT t-shirts go on sale for $10 in front of the school from 7:30-8:30 am Thur-Fri., 4/14-15 and Wed.-Fri., 4/27-29. Proceeds will help fund future wellness programming.

KIDFIT in the Heights is organized by the Wellness Committee of the PS/IS 187 Parent Teacher Association and sponsored by the YM & YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood and Vive Tu Vida/CHALK (Choosing Healthy and Active Lifestyles for Kids) through the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
